This pantograph is made out of angle iron . Holes were drilled thru out each piece to cut down on the weight. You can make yours out of aluminum and accomplish the same, without drilling a lot of holes.

This is made from the plans

This is made of 1/4 inch square tubing, and has a cutting area of approximately 8 inches wide by 24 inches long.

The video pantograph has a much smaller cutting area of 3 or 4inches.
